Ever since I remember myself, I really liked jewels. Especially the idea of making something of my own by composing various elements. I was bewitched with the process and whatever was lying underneath.

My first impressions came along with my grandfather’s woodworking workshop. From very early age I was watching him working with wood, giving them different shapes by using tools like hammers, drills, saws… and I was fascinated by the whole process.

My studies at “Le Arti Orafe” Goldsmith School in Florence and “Krama School of Contemporary Jewelry” in Athens, have helped me harness my imagination and the inspiration that came along with it. I learned how to work on thematic projects using different materials and techniques as well as how to adopt the appropriate methodologies in order to “give birth” to my ideas and deliver the desired results.

My inspiration often comes in my dreams! Many times, a clear piece of jewel pops into my mind just by observing the world around me, looking at a picture or just watching several forms of my daily life. I may see a simple line, a luminaire or a building full of curves and immediately imagine it in a jewelry form. I am very much inspired by nature and its organic materials. What nature offers cannot be made by human hands. I use paper, wood, plants, fruit, salt, sand…and i like combining them with materials such as metal, cement and resins, which are giving as sense of movement to these elements and I am trying to imbue the colors of nature into them by using hagiographic powders with gradations, forms and textures. In this whole process the magic lies beneath the completion of every creation.

Through my creations I want people to recognize a part of my soul. Behind the rough, non-treated surfaces lies an emotional side full of warmth and dynamism. My jewels are made to create an interactive channel with the people who choose to wear them while they are left free to give their interpretation and make their own esthetic statements.

Experimentation, improvisation, evolution. Rough, sharp, dynamic, emotional, atmospheric, raw, pioneering, authentic. Connection, movement, layers, inner power, imagination, energy, aesthetics, creativity, soul.
